Three people were injured in a shooting in a Virginia restaurant.
Martinsville Police Chief Eddie Casade said the incident began with an argument between two groups at El Nortino restaurant.
Police said in a press release that an officer in Martinsville was on patrol shortly after 10:30 pm. When he heard several shots. The officer saw several people shooting with their pistols when he arrived at the restaurant. The statement stated that he confronted them, but they continued to shoot, and the officer returned fire.
The condition of the three victims has not been released.
Because of the Martinsville police officer’s involvement, Virginia State Police takes over the investigation. The police did not immediately reveal the identity of the officer.
