Police said a road shooting in Atlanta killed one and wounded two.
Atlanta police said the accident on Interstate 85 near the I-75 link occurred early in the morning, shutting down all southbound lanes in the city center, media reported.
Police Capt. Dorian Graham said officers responded to the area around 5:15 a.m. and found a victim who was shot in the head. Another victim at the scene of the accident was hospitalized in stable condition. Police said a third person was also injured, but officers have not identified him.
No further details were disclosed about the shooting.
Police said an investigation was underway at the scene and it was not clear when the highway would reopen.
