CINCINNATI —three women are dead and a man and a woman are in serious condition following a crash on Interstate 75 on, Cincinnati police said.
The crash took place around 6:31 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway, just south of Interstate 74. Officers on the scene found five people inside the car.
Cincinnati police said the driver was traveling north when he hit the impact attenuator that separates I-75 from I-74.
The driver and one of his passengers in the backseat suffered serious injuries and were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where they are listed in serious condition.
Three women inside the car, Alice Richardson, 38; Natasha Moore, 38; and Erica Easley, 39, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Cincinnati police said it’s unknown if the driver and passengers were wearing seat belts or not. Excessive speed and impairment are yet to be determined as factors in the crash.
