The shooting of two homes in western Wisconsin killed five people – including the suspected shooter – and injured two people.
The Chippewa County Mayor’s Administration said that the deputies responded to the 911 call regarding the shooting at a house in Lake Haley at 10:30 pm.
Inside, she found a dead man and woman. Two other adults, the victim’s parents, were taken to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. There were also some minors in the house, but they were unharmed.
At 2:30 a.m., MPs went to a house in the town of Lafayette to inform family members of one of those killed in the shooting. When they arrived, they found three other victims of the shooting, all of whom were dead.
The Sheriff’s Department said the person suspected of shooting was among the dead.
It is not believed to be a threat to the public. The deaths are still under investigation.
