2 killed in a shootout at a Jackson gas station

Two people are now killed after a shooting at a gas station in Jackson.

JPD spokesman Sam Browne said a person was hit by a gasco bullet at the corner of Woodrow Wilson Street and MLK Drive.

Brown said that a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times inside the store and died at the scene.

This shooting victim has been identified as Christopher Lee.

Investigators believe that the man was ambushed by three suspects, two of whom are in detention.

The third suspect was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Justin Barty, 33, was shot by Lee multiple times at the gas station, according to police. He was brought down at the University Medical Center where he succumbed to his wounds.

Barty was taken down by the now detained suspects.Police seized two firearms and drugs from outside the store
