
Authorities said a Texas man shot and killed a robbery attempt that was at gunpoint in his family.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. When three gunmen stormed a house in Port Arthur
Police said the 29-year-old owner of the house heard a noise and left another room with a rifle to protect his family, who was being held at gunpoint.
Police said he fired several shots and killed one of the men, who was identified as Terence Ellis, 27.
Beaumont Enterprise announced that Ellis had died at the scene, while the other two men fled and remained at large.
Police said the accident was under investigation.
