Police said Monday that a man was shot dead in what appeared to be a domestic disturbance at a home in Davenport at the weekend.
The shooting happened shortly before noon.
Officers were called to the scene on Fillmore Street and found Nicholas Brown, 33, of Davenport, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Brown was evacuated to Davenport Hospital with serious injuries. Police said he died in hospital.
Police have not released other details of the shooting, including whether the police had a suspect or made any arrests in the case.
