4 dead, 23 injured in Chicago violence


Four people were killed and 19 wounded in gunfire across Chicago.

A man was killed in a shooting on a ramp to the Kennedy Highway on the Northwest Side.

The man was traveling on the ramp around 8:55 pm. From Division Street to Interstate 90 when someone fired shots from another vehicle, Illinois State Police said.

State police said the man veered off the road, climbed onto a bridge and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examination Bureau said autopsy results found that he died of multiple gunshot wounds and was sentenced to death. His identity has not been released.
