One person was killed and six others were injured when a group of people were trapped in storm flood waters north of the US-Mexico border.
The fatal emergency was reported to East San Ysidro Boulevard and Railroad Court shortly after 4 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire and Rescue Department.
The city agency reported that rescue teams had pulled seven people out of the storms.
None of the victims survived, according to General Affairs for the Defense Forces for Democracy and Human Rights. Officials said paramedics treated the rest of the group for minor injuries at the scene, and then took three of them to hospital for further care and evaluation.
