A man escaping Tennessee state troopers sped into a city convergence and hammered his truck into a vehicle, slaughtering a mother and her two little youngsters, specialists said.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol was pursuing a truck driven by Michael Don Shepherd when Shepherd sped into the convergence in the city of Cookeville and struck a vehicle driven by Amanda Chatman, the Cookeville Police Department said in a news discharge.
Chatman, 24, and her 3-and 4-year-old kids were articulated dead at the scene, police said.
Shepherd, 25, was captured, accused of three tallies of vehicular murder and avoiding capture, and set up for a region prison. It couldn’t be resolved promptly in the event that he had a lawyer who could represent him.
