A dog was hit by four shots to save its owner from thieves

A dog (a German Shepherd), in Des Moines, Washington State, was hit by four bullets while trying to protect its owner from thieves.

The dog’s owner, 16-year-old Javier Mercado, said he was alone at home with his dog, Rex. In the afternoon, he heard a noise, looked through the window to see a strange car near the house, and then heard the sound of broken windows on the first floor of the house.

Then Rex jogged down and started barking and snarling constantly. Then the boy heard one of the thieves screaming: The dog had bitten me, took him away from me, and Javier Mercado saw that the intruders were intending to go upstairs and hid in his wardrobe after calling the police for help.

And immediately the dog ran to the top to protect his friend.

When the criminals got to the room where Mercado was, Rex again attacked the robbers who shot him and shot him with four bullets making him unable to continue the resistance.

Before the police arrived, the thieves fled and the search is still going on.
