
Austin, Texas, witnessed a stabbing incident inside a restaurant, killing one person and wounding 3 others.
The state police stated that the suspect carried out a series of attacks inside a shopping area in the city, where he entered a cafe and hit a person for no apparent reason, before he fled, entered a restaurant and stabbed other people.
The police also announced that the suspect was a 27-year-old, without revealing further details about him or his motives.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott later said the attacker appeared to be homeless and had a criminal record.
“This is the first murder in Austin in the new year,” he added.
