A man who confessed to shooting his wife and two children at their home in Dallas told police that he killed them because he had a headache and they were extremely loud, according to an affidavit.
James Webb, 57, was arrested Monday for premeditated murder after he shot and killed his 35-year-old wife, Victoria Bunton, and his two sons, ages 16 to 13. The names of the children were not disclosed.
Webb told investigators that he began arguing with his wife at around 10 a.m. because he had a headache and the kids’ voice was so loud, according to an affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Webb shot Bunton twice and then his sons. Wait an hour and then call 911 to admit.
Webb told the interrogators that he was “tired” of his wife and children, “screaming and telling him that there was nothing wrong with him, so he shot them,” as stated in the affidavit.
Chanel Lockhart, who said she was the next-door neighbor of the next-door family, summoned Bunton for her kindness and said the teens were smart.
And she had a heart. “She was so nice to everyone,” Lockhart said. “You would never think that one day he would call and say he killed his children.
