Peoria police found a man shot dead on the street
Just before 10 a.m., officers responded to North Avenue and Route 87 to report gunfire. There they found the unidentified victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several people were arrested in connection with the shooting, and the police say the shooting appeared to be isolated between people who know each other.
There will be traffic restrictions in the area as the police investigate the scene of the accident.
