Double shooting in Philadelphia, dies 20 y man

 Homicide investigators are investigating the killing of a man during a double shooting in southwest Philadelphia.

Officers patrolling the 12th District of Philadelphia responded to the 62nd and Elmwood Streets areas around 4:30 pm. After hearing gunshots, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small.

A 20-year-old man was reportedly shot in the head and a 33-year-old youth was hit by a live bullet in the abdomen. Police took the two men to Ben Presbyterian Hospital, where the 20-year-old victim died. According to Small, the 33-year-old is in critical condition but is expected to live.

Eyewitnesses reportedly told the police that they heard an argument before hearing the shots. Investigators say that 14 spent shells were found at the scene.

Witnesses are questioned by homicide investigators. Police are also hoping to use surveillance footage from nearby companies to aid the investigation.

No arrests have been reported, but Small says investigators have a description of a VIP.
