Two people were killed after a shooting in Charlton, Massachusetts, according to Worcester County Attorney Joseph Early, Jr.
Charlton Police and EMS responded to the 911 call around 7:15 pm. At 28 Southbridge Street, the DA office said in a statement.
Police were told that a married couple was fighting in their bedroom. When the first responders arrived, the DA said, they found a dead man from wounds apparently shot and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She later died of her wounds.
The couple were dating and living in loneliness with the woman’s child, who was at home at the time of the shooting, according to a neighbor who did not want to be identified.
Their names are withheld until family members are notified. The shooting is under investigation.
