A fatal accident left the parents dead and their four children injured.
Helotes Police responded to the incident shortly after 6:30 PM. On Bandera Road near Sandra Day O’Connor High School.
Officer Paul Rodriguez of the Helots Police Department said the accident occurred when a car with a family of six cut in front of a full-size pickup truck driven by a woman in her twenties.
Both the truck driver and the front passenger were killed in the collision. The four children, aged 16 to 2 years, were transferred to the university hospital with mostly minor injuries. The truck driver was also transferred to the university hospital.
The children tell the police that the rest of their family members are out of state, so Officer Rodriguez said they are trying to contact family friends who live here in San Antonio.
The Bandera Corridor heading south is expected to be closed for at least two hours while the accident is investigated and removed.
