
Three people were killed when a small plane crashed into a house in southeast Michigan
It happened before 4 pm. In a neighborhood near Oakland Airport / Southwest, formerly known as New Hudson Airport, in Lyon, west of Novi.
The Oakland County Police Office said the dead were the pilot and two of the plane’s passengers. Their names were not immediately revealed.
The house caught fire in the accident, but authorities said everyone inside survived.
The Detroit affiliate of NBC says the family of five is fine but their cat died in the fire.
The Associated Press reported that the aircraft, a single-engine Piper PA-24, was bound for Oakland / Southwest Canton, Georgia.
