Four people were killed and three teenagers were hospitalized after a car accident on Miami-Dade’s West Flagler Street.
The accident occurred early near Flagler Junction and West 79th Street. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a black West-bound Chevrolet Tahoe on Flagler collided with a blue Hyundai when the blue vehicle attempted to turn left from 79th W to Flagler on a flashing red light.
All four people died in a blue Hyundai car, a woman and three men at the scene.
The three people in a black Tahoe, all of them a 16-year-old male, were taken to Kendall Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to FHP.
Soldiers investigate the cause of the accident and whether alcohol, drugs, or excessive speed were a factor. In a statement, FHP said the names of the victims would not be disclosed.
