Police said a 48-year-old man was shot dead during a car hijacking outside a home in Southfield.
The police were called shortly before 8 pm. After hearing gunshots at 26,000 blocks from Primary Drive, near Franklin and Northwestern Highway. When the police arrived in the neighborhood, a man was found lying in a driveway.
Police say the man was shot in the chest and thighs. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they believe the man was kidnapped while arriving home.
The police do not have much information at this time about the suspect, except that the suspect was last seen leaving the area in the victim’s white 2013 Toyota Tundra.
