Police said one person was killed and 11 wounded in a shooting in the early hours of the morning in Minneapolis.
“An adult man died and 11 were injured without life-threatening injuries,” Minneapolis police wrote on Twitter, adding in a separate tweet that people who had been shot were taken to district hospitals.
The city was at the center of a wave of anti-racism protests in the United States and around the world over the death of George Floyd, the black man who died in Minneapolis police custody. There was no indication that the shooting was related to this.
As of 4 am, no one was held in connection with the shooting
