An early morning car accident killed four people on Miami-Dade Road.
Florida Highway Patrol officials say the accident occurred just before 4 a.m. near the intersection of Flagler Street and Northwest 79th Street.
In a statement, FHP said the Hyundai Elantra was trying to turn left into Flagler Street when it was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe.
Four people inside Hyundai, a woman and three men, died at the scene. Their names were not disclosed at this time.
Three people inside Tahoe, identified as three 16-year-old men, were taken to Kendall Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
FHP soldiers investigate whether alcohol, drugs, or speed were a factor in the accident. Officials said Hyundai had a blinking red light when it turned while the Tahoe had a yellow light flashing at the time of the accident.
