Woman accused of endangering children after seven children, including a 23-month-old, were found inside a vacant apartment in Humboldt Park on the West Side of Chicago
Chicago Police said the 31-year-old is charged with seven misdemeanor counts of endangering a child.
Police said that at around 3:50 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check in a supposedly vacant apartment in Building 700 on North Trimble Avenue.
Inside the unit, officers found a 14-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, a 7-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, and a 4-year-old boy. Police said a girl of age and a 23-month-old baby. All of them have been taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital and are in good condition.
The woman was expected to appear at a hearing
