Police say the death of a one-year-old boy in West Baltimore was upgraded to a homicide, according to a recent autopsy.
Western District officers responded to a home in 1300 Block of N. Mount Street where an unresponsive child was found.
On arrival, officers found a one-year-old boy who was not breathing.
The officers tried to help and called the paramedics who took the child to the university hospital.
Once there, the doctors declared the baby dead.
The child’s remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office, where the body was autopsied.
Medical examiners ruled that the death of one-year-old Tyler Burgess was a murder and that he died of fentanyl poisoning.
