
A 22-year-old man was arrested after a 2-year-old girl was shot in the head while playing with a pistol in Macon, Georgia
Pep County MPs detained Leishon Grimes during the investigation and later accused him of cruelty to the second-degree children and theft by receiving him. Investigators said the gun was owned by Grimes and that the gun was stolen in July.
(Grimes) is holding on a $ 12,500 bond
It was not known if he had a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.
The mayor’s office said, in a press release, that the child found the gun during a gathering and was playing with it when it exploded. The bullet hit her in the head at about 3:30 pm. Transferred to Navicent Health Medical Center. Her case was not immediately available.
No one else was injured.
