Authorities say a man shot a relative on Christmas Day at a home in Iowa.

Black Hawk County Mayors responded at around 4:30 pm. After a resident called 911 to report shooting among family members. The wounded man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The deputies decided that there was an altercation prior to the shooting.
