Walmart announces new office hours and special shopping periods

Walmart stores adjusted their opening hours from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shops that open after 7 AM will continue to operate during normal business hours. This will also assist partners in restocking shelves for customers while continuing efforts to clean and sanitize the store.

Since older customers may be more vulnerable to contracting the coronavirus, the company is offering these residents special shopping hours. From March 24th through April 28th, Walmart stores will host an hour-long shopping event every Tuesday for customers 60 and older. This will start one hour before the store opens. Walmart pharmacies and visibility centers will also open during this time.

In order to serve the largest number of customers, the stores will have limits for certain categories including paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wet wipes, milk and baby food.

The stores will temporarily close their auto care centers. Vision Centers will operate to its regular schedule, providing only basic services such as fixing eyeglasses and helping clients pick up on current orders.
