Pregnant woman from North Carolina, unborn baby died after shooting


Police announced that a pregnant woman and her baby died after being shot during “home disturbances” in Fayetteville.

A man was also shot dead, apparently with a gunshot wound, according to the authorities.

The accident was reported shortly before 7:20 PM. In Building 900 of Willow Street, according to a press release from Fayetteville Police.

“The preliminary investigation revealed an internal disturbance related to the house,” the police said in a press release. “During the unrest, several shots were fired.”

The pregnant woman, Sarah Lewis, 34, was shot from 900 buildings on Willow Street and was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries before she died. The man, named Keith Lewis, 31, from Building 900 on Willow Street, died at the scene.

Police said that another child was at the scene at the time of the shooting and that he was unharmed. The child was placed with other family members.

The police did not say what was the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
