Ohio authorities say an early morning shooting at a birthday party in Cleveland killed two men and left a third in hospital.
Police say officers responded to the address shortly before 5 a.m. on Saturday and found a man shot in the hallway and another shot in the house. He announced the death of the 35-year-old man in the corridor at the scene and the death of the 38-year-old man at home in the hospital.
A third victim who arrived at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in a private van was taken to the University Hospital and admitted to receive treatment for bullet wounds.
The 24-year-old man’s condition was not immediately released.
Police said preliminary information indicated that the older man underwent surgery hours later when a birthday party for two people, including the 35-year-old, was held, with around 30 to 50 people attending. Police said the 35-year-old got into an argument and was asked to leave but returned later, possibly with a gun.
Eyewitnesses reported multiple gunfire and two firearms were found at the scene. Police said they believe there are several shooters, but they have not identified them. The names of the two dead men were not immediately revealed.
