Police in North Carolina found the body of a 26-year-old woman whose boyfriend earlier this month had accused her of her murder.
The Apex Police Department stated that Emily Montgomery’s body was found in Raleigh, according to reports The News & Observer.
Jose Carlos Jacom-Granizo, 29, of Raleigh, was arrested on December 10 and charged with premeditated murder in Montgomery’s death.
Montgomery was a single mom who lived in Apex, a town in Wake County. She was reported missing after her family had not seen or heard from her since the night before Thanksgiving.
According to the search warrants, Montgomery sent a text message to a friend in November that she and her boyfriend did not agree, and one text message said, “It will happen he will kill me first,” as stated in a search warrant.
Police searched Jacumi Granizo’s Jeep Wrangler and found blood in the front seat, according to the arrest warrants.
Jacom-Granizo is being held without bond at Wake County Jail.
