A teenage girl was shot dead in Gage Park on the southwest side.
The girl, 16, was in an alley around 7:07 p.m. Chicago Police said it was at 5200 Block of South Kidzee Street when someone opened fire and hit her in the head.
Police said the girl was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she died.
The Cook County Medical Examiner Office did not recognize the girl.
No arrests were reported. District investigators are investigating first.
