Memphis police are investigating a shooting incident that killed a father by his 3-year-old daughter.
The police identified the dead man named “Jerome Smith”, who was found dead after he had been shot in the head.
The story began when Jerome Smith picked up a man on his way home named “Allante Jones,” 26, who got into the car and got into the back seat with a pistol.
Jones threw the pistol at next to the little girl “A. Smith”, who was sitting in the back seat of the car, where she picked up the weapon and while playing with it a bullet was fired at her father.
Police charged Alante Jones with two counts of manslaughter and illegal possession of a firearm.
In this regard, Rev. Charlie Caswell said the child will grow up and hear stories about what happened, and whatever her role, she will not get rid of that memory easily, especially since she is 3 years old.
He added, “The result is far from tragic, and regardless of what exactly happened, the little girl has changed forever .. This painful experience undoubtedly will affect this girl for the rest of her life.”
