Maryland State Police continue investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Baltimore County.
Just before 9:25 PM. Soldiers from Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barracks responded to I-95 South at I-195 for a report of a pedestrian accident.
According to a preliminary investigation, Jacob Marshall Dalton, 29, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger when it became disabled on the right shoulder of the I-95 South. Dalton climbed from his shoulder to the road and was hit by a trailer tractor.
Maryland State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division responded to the scene to conduct a post-collision inspection of a tractor trailer.
Dalton was transferred to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead.
The trailer driver remained at the scene.
No one else was injured due to the I-95 South shutdown in the crash area. On Wednesday around 12 am, the road reopened.
The accident is still under investigation.
