Officers from the Indianapolis City Police Department (IMPD) responded to a person who had been shot in the northeastern side of the city in the afternoon.
The police said around 2:14 pm. Officers responded to Block 6200 from Newberry Road.
According to IMPD, the victim was declared dead.
