A fire occurred, followed by an explosion at a chemical plant in Bell, West Virginia.
The authorities of the Canova department said, in a statement on its Twitter page: “At approximately 22:02, an accident, followed by an explosion and fire, occurred at the Chemours factory.”
The authorities have recommended that local residents stay in shelters if they are within a 3.2 km radius of the factory.
And local media reported that four people were injured as a result of the accident, and three of them were taken to hospital, and no information was provided about their health condition.
Later, four hours after the explosion, the authorities canceled the order not to leave homes in the area of the accident, and said the danger had passed.
