Officials say two people were killed in a small plane crash in north of Houston.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. in a residential neighborhood in Woodbranch, 30 miles (48 kilometers) northeast of Houston.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that a single-engine American AA-5A Grumman crashed in unknown circumstances while en route to an airport about 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of the crash site.
Sgt. Eric Borse, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, reported that the plane had crashed into a tree platform far from any homes in the neighborhood, killing the two. The identities have not been released.
