Two people were killed and two others injured after a shooting that led to an accident in Lundell on the West Side.
Chicago police said that just before 8 p.m., people inside a west-bound Chevrolet fired at a Kia at Building 4300 on West Roosevelt Road. Kia eventually veered off the road and collided with a stationary object, while Chevrolet continued west and collided with another vehicle at the 5800 complex of West Roosevelt Road.
Police said four people had fled Chevy and had not been arrested.
Police said two people in a Kia vehicle, a 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, were killed. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not disclosed their identities or disclosed the cause of death.
Police said another woman in a Kia vehicle, 23, was hit in the back by a bullet. She was also injured in the accident and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where she was in critical condition. A 25-year-old man in a Kia car in good condition was in the same hospital with injuries from the accident.
Fourth District investigators are investigating.
