Officers shot and killed a man aiming his pistol at Escambia deputies after a chase


Pensacola, Fl

A man was shot dead by MPs after a chase in the province of Escambia.

The accident happened around 2 p.m.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, MPs tried to stop a man with active arrest warrants near 9th Ave. And Bayou Blvd. However, the man continued to drive, and the chase began.

Representatives parked the car with a pit maneuver at N 9th Ave. And Langley Ave.

Representatives say the man got out of his car and started running towards a commercial area, then turned around and pointed his gun at the officers. Then the deputies shot him and killed him.

No officers or surrounding citizens were injured.

Pensacola Police and the Florida Highway Patrol were assisted in the accident.

Representatives do not disclose the victim’s name at this time. They already said that he had multiple violent criminal orders, including robbery, kidnapping and wrongful imprisonment.

Authorities are investigating.
