Five people were killed and another injured in a violent accident in Wharton County, according to the Wharton Police Department.
At about 3:56 a.m., a driver in a black Cadillac SUV drove south on US Highway 59, near the FM 961 / Interstate 60 exit, left the trail, traveled through grassland, and entered northbound lanes where it collided head-on, officials said It is with the advent of Nissan Altima.
A Cadillac SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three adults in the accident were also killed in Altima, including the driver. Another passenger, a two-year-old boy, was announced dead after being transferred to hospital.
A six-month-old baby who was in Altima was taken to a hospital in Houston for treatment in an unknown condition.
Investigators withhold the names of victims until families of all parties are notified.
This incident is still under investigation by the Wharton Police Department.
