Two people were killed and 4 others hospitalized in a library shooting in Clovis, New Mexico.
The head of the city’s fire department, Michael Nolen, stated that the authorities had arrested one person in the attack.
“The Eastern New Mexico News” quoted the librarian, Vanessa Aguirre, as saying that she was in the “Clovis Carter” public library with her son, when someone entered and started shooting in the air. She told the journalist, “It happened very quickly … We left quickly. My wallet is still there.”
Clovis, with a population of about 40,000, is 306 km east of Albuquerque, and is close to the US Air Force Cannon Base.
