A man, 21, and a woman, 22, were killed after Chesterfield Collide

Two people were killed after a crash in the town of Chesterfield.

Police say it happened just before 9:00 near 23 Mile, west of Seaden Drive. Upon arrival, officers noticed two badly damaged cars, the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2005 Cadillac CTS.

During a police investigation, they concluded that 21-year-old Cadillac driver David Vasilievsky of Chesterfield Twin lost control while driving west on 23 Mile and through the central turning lane. From there, collide with the dodge.

Unfortunately, Vasilievsky and his passenger, 22-year-old Ashley Macchota from New Baltimore, were announced dead at the scene.

Dodge driver, a 19-year-old man from Macomb Toup, was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

We were told that the area was closed for more than 3 hours while the investigation was taking place. As of now, the police don’t know if speed or alcohol was a factor.
