Police are investigating after a man was shot dead.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting occurred at Building 4500 of Jamestown Courthouse after 6:20 p.m. When the police arrived, they found a man wounded by at least one bullet.
The administration said that a car was stopped while the officers were trying to help, and at least one shot was fired at the officers. The officers chased the car, but at least two people fled the car. The officers were unable to locate them.
The victim was transferred to a hospital in a critical area, where his death was announced. The administration said that the officers did not fire bullets and no one was injured by bullets or shots fired from the vehicle.
