A 19-year-old woman was arrested after police said a video doorbell camera recorded her raping two boys ages 5 to 9.
The accident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. At the Spruce Street Apartments in Yakima.
An officer responded to the scene after a witness called and reported that a video doorbell camera had captured a woman performing sexual acts on the boys.
The officer was directed at the suspect, but she ran in the opposite direction via Naseem Road when the officer approached, the police said.
Police say the officer managed to catch and push the woman, causing her to fall to the ground. She then resisted arrest by moving her arms, according to the police.
According to police reports, the woman was eventually detained and the officers were told that the accident occurred “only today.”
She is being held in prison to investigate two counts of raping a first-degree child and obstructing a police officer.
