Macomb County Sheriff said a 42-year-old was killed when a 25,000-pound mold fell on him.
Representatives were called to Romeo Rim Inc. in Van Dyck in Bruce town just before 10 am on Tuesday morning to report a man was injured by a piece of equipment.
Representatives and Bruce Township Fire Department found the man, identified as 42-year-old Davy Spano, under a 25,000-pound manufacturing mold that had fallen from one of the factory’s interior walls.
According to the representatives, the death appears to have been a tragic accident and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) has been contacted.
Romeo Rim manufactures polyurethane molds and serves transportation, heavy trucks, agriculture, and construction companies.
