Investigators at the sheriff’s office in Jacksonville are working to identify the man who was found shot dead in a detention pool in Southside.
Police said a neighbor spotted the body in the storage pond while he was walking with his dog in Block 10,000 on Anders Street.
The body is the body of a man between 30 and 40 years old. The body was found naked in a plastic storage container, according to the sheriff’s office
After the police removed the body from bail, the officers realized that the man had been shot.
The warden’s office said it believed the body had been left in the pool within the past 24 to 36 hours.
The body is in the coroner’s office for identification.
