Police said a man was shot dead and another wounded after a brawl in a shopping mall parking lot in Lincoln Park.
Shortly after 9 p.m., a shooting broke out in a shopping mall parking lot off Euclid Avenue near Naranja Street, according to Lt. Andhra Brown of the San Diego Police Department.
Brown said that officers arrived and found two men with apparently gunshot wounds
The lieutenant said that the officers provided first aid until the paramedics took charge. A man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was taken to hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It was not immediately clear if any other people were involved in the struggle. Investigators were trying to find evidence and any additional witnesses.
The lieutenant said the dead man, a 25-year-old National City resident, was identified, but his name was not immediately released. The injured man, who is 31 years old, was also identified as a resident of the National City, but his name was not revealed.
