Pensacola, Fl
A shooting in northern Kentucky in the early morning left the victim in a medical coma, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred in District 190 of Ashwood Drive at around 2 a.m., the sheriff’s office says.
Kevin Sanders, 19, from Walton, got into what lawmakers described as a “fight” with Charles Chipman, 34, also from Walton, after Sanders arrived to pick Chipman from the title, according to the sheriff’s office. The quarrel took place on the street.
MPs say Sanders eventually shot Chipman multiple times.
Chipman was transferred to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Air Care. He underwent surgery, the mayor’s office says, and went into a medical coma.
His condition was described as stable, according to the sheriff’s office.
Representatives say Sanders fled the scene, but was arrested nearby. Since then he has been charged with a felony assault and has been held in the Bonn County Detention Center.
