Authorities are working to resolve a violent conflict, when four people were injured during a suspected armed battle on the northwest side, and one person died.
San Antonio Police said they were called in to shoot at 5500 Block of UTSA Avenue shortly before 2:00 a.m. It’s unclear how everything happened, as an investigation is still ongoing, but officials believe a dispute escalated into a shootout between two cars at the intersection of UTSA Blvd and I-10 Access Rd.
Police said at least two cars had bullet holes, and four people were reported injured, but one person died at the scene. The identity of those involved in the accident has not been identified, but they are said to be between the ages of 18 and 22.
Commander William McManus arrived on the scene shortly thereafter, looking shaky. Taking into account the victim’s ages, he described the entire incident as “meaningless”.
President McManus said: “I’ll say it doesn’t make sense.” “I cannot overestimate how absurd this is.
