A nine-year-old boy was killed after an accidental gunfire on the West Side of town, according to Detroit police.

The accident occurred in Building 15800 in Kentucky where the 9-year-old was upstairs, and there were no other adults inside.

Police say the girl found the gun and shot herself in an unfortunate accident. There were two more children – her brother and sister were 10 and 5 years old. Both of them were unharmed.

Two men came to the house later and police detained them. It is not clear what relationship they have with the children.

“We’re seeing this a lot,” said Capt. Lashana Potts of Detroit Police. “Please put down your weapons.” “You cannot leave children alone at home and weapons scattered around them.

Now we have a broken mother and two brothers, it will be the worst day of their lives. “

The pistol was not found but the police found the store.

Police say a 911 call about the shooting was received at 7:35 pm. But it is unclear who put it at this time.

This is the second fatal shooting incident on a child in two days in Detroit. 7-year-old Regina Williams was shot in the back of the head in a passing car, and later died of her wounds.
