Authorities are investigating the killing of a young man during a night of a double shooting in Juniata Park.
Officers from District 24 in Philadelphia responded to the 900 block of East Hunting Park Avenue around 4 p.m. For fire reports.
Police say that a 26-year-old man was shot in the chest. Police took him to Temple University Hospital and pronounced him dead.
A second victim, a 53-year-old woman, was also transferred to Temple Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the investigator found a weapon at the scene, but no one was arrested.
The fatal shooting marked the second murder on Saturday. Three other men were also injured in armed violence across the city, including a 53-year-old man whom police say is fighting for his life after he was shot twice in the back in North Philadelphia.
